Mount Everest has many names: Solukhumbu is the local name of the region, while, it’s other names are Sagarmatha and Chomolungma.”The Roof of the world”. A hardy and craggy land, this is the home of the Sherpa, World famous of their skill in Mountaineering and hospitality. Enroute are the Khumjung, Pangboche and Thangboche Monastries, lots of small villages. Among the glacial lakes, Gokyo is one of the most beautiful views of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse from Kalapatar are spectacular. This is classic approach to Everest, a walk which offers a fascinating insight in to village life whilst we gradually acclimatize to the increasing altitude. We drive to Jiri and for the next week trek against the “grain” of the Himalayas, crossing many passes two at over 3500m. This is one of the most rewarding sections of the trek, with constant views of the great peaks Gauri Shaanker (7150m.) Melungtse (7282m.) and Numbur Himal (6954m.) Chheri , Tamang and Rai villages with stunning forests of Rhododendron, Oak and conifer.
Each day our final destination, the mighty peaks of the Himalayas, moves closer. For the next eight-day we travel slowly, allowing you to acclimatise and enabling you to meet the legendary Sherpa’s. Largest Sherpa population you will find in khumbu. Namche is just the place for a well earned days rest. After leaving Namche, the views are stunning. We take time to explore the colourful and diverse market, mingling with traders who have traveled from as far away as the Terai and Tibet to sell their wares. One the Thyanboche ridges (3875m.) said to be the most beautiful place on Earth. Glaciers, mighty mountains, alpine lakes, raging rivers and Sherpa villages. For those wishing to experience the ultimate in “Everest Trekking” this trek, pioneered by our selves, takes you into all the major valley systems of the regain. A sensational trek, where the majestic giants of the Himalayas will surround you: Mt. Everest 8848m., Lhotse 8511m., Makalu 8481m.,and Choyu 8153m. Four of the worlds highest peaks. The Everest region at any time is incomparable, but this unique alpine route is unsurpassed for mountain scenery. In the company for the famous Sherpa, we head to Namch Bazaar and the Thame valley, birthplace of Tenzing Norgay. Then we move on to Gokyo and its beautiful turquoise lakes, creaking glacier and the magnificent views from Gokyo Ri 5318m. Perhaps the finest vantage points in the khumbu. From here we enjoy views of the entire region’s 8000m. Peaks. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Ou. A stunning spectacle, never to be forgotten. We go further in the valley to the border of Tibet, near the 5th lake. Standing in the moraine under the Cho Oyu 8513m. And above the Ngozumpa Glacier, we now see the Everest from the Tibetan side. A real moonladscape; that’s the earth in all her primeval beauty. Our return to Namche follows new trails, allowing us to visit different villages and back from Lukla.

Day 9 Acclimatization Day and visit Everest Museum and rest day.

Day 14 Early in the morning climb up Kalapater 5545m. for Everest sun rise and trek down to Pangboche 3985m.

Day 16 Trek to Lukla 2800m.
Day 17 Early in the morning Flight to Kathmandu.
Day 18 Kathmandu free day
