This trip is a once in a lifetime trek to the roof of the world. North of Nepal, surrounded on three sides by Tibet, lies the tiny ancient kingdom of Mustang (home of the Lo people), which has remained virtually untouched by the outside world. It is a magical journey of remarkable contrasts, unchanged Buddhist culture and austere beauty in a land lost in time
You will walk up the vast Kali Gandaki riverbed, the deepest gorge in the world, dominated by the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs: walk over windswept passes at 14,000ft. across the ‘Plain of Aspirations’ to the walled city of Lo Mantang.
Accommodation is lodge or camping. Porters and horses are used for carrying equipment. There are strict regulations for entering Mustang.
